Steve Forbert, geb, 1954 in Meridian, Mississippi, ist ein amerikanischer Sänger, der am ehesten der Counrtymusik- und Singersongwriterszene zuzuordnen ist.

1978 veröffentlichte er sein erstes Album und 1980 konnte er mit dem Lied Romeo's Tune auf Platz 11 der Billboard-Charts vordringen.

Von Kritikern wurde er manchmal wegen seiner ähnlichen Stimme und seiner klugen Liedtexten als der "neue Bob Dylan" bezeichnet.

Seit 1978 hat Steve Forbert über 20 Alben veröffentlicht, das letzte, Strange Names & New Sensations, ist 2007 erschienen. Read more on Last.fm
