Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes ist die zweite weltbekannte Band aus Asbury Park.
Sie wurde im Jahre 1974 von Little Steven und dem Sänger Johnny Lyon (geboren am 04.Dezember 1948 in Neptun, N.J.) gegründet.
Schon im Jahre 1975 verlies Little Steven die Band und "wechselte" zu Bruce Springsteens E-Street Band.
1976 unterschrieb die Band ihren ersten Plattenvertrag bei Epic Records und schuf mit "I don´t want to go Home" einen Meilenstein der Rockgeschichte. Read more on Last.fm
