Ferlin Husky (* 3. Dezember 1925 in Flat River, Missouri; † 17. März 2011) war ein US-amerikanischer Country-Sänger.

Anfänge

Der aus dem ländlichen Missouri stammende Ferlin Husky begann seine musikalische Laufbahn als Diskjockey im kalifornischen Bakersfield. Unter dem Namen Terry Preston trat er allabendlich in der lokalen Clubszene auf. Sein Geburtsname erschien ihm unangemessen für einen seriösen Country-Sänger.
