Don Gibson, eigentlich Donald Eugene Gibson (* 3. April 1928 in Shelby; North Carolina, † 17. November 2003), ist ein US-amerikanischer Country-Sänger und Songschreiber.


Don Gibson wurde in Shelby, North Carolina geboren. Er stammte aus armen Verhältnissen und hatte nur 2 Jahre Schulbildung.

Seine erste Band, mit der er 1948 begann, hieß Sons of the Soil und orientierte sich am Stil der Sons of the Pioneers. Nach kurzen Verträgen mit Mercury Records und MGM wurde er von Chet Atkins bei RCA unter Vertrag genommen. Read more on Last.fm
