Kitaro
Kitaro (jap. 喜多郎 Kitarō; * 4. Februar 1953 in Toyohashi) wurde als Masanori Takahashi als Kind shintoistischer Bauern geboren. Er gilt als einer der bedeutendsten Künstler Japans. Den Spitznamen Kitaro (ungefähre Bedeutung: Mann der Freude und der Liebe) bekam er von Freunden in Anlehnung an eine Comicfigur. In seiner Highschool-Zeit hörte er am liebsten Soul und Rhythm & Blues. Sein erstes Instrument war die E-Gitarre, die er autodidaktisch erlernte und spielte mit seiner ersten Band Albatross auf Partys und in Clubs. Read more on Last.fm
