Geboren am 4. Oktober 1953 in Zürich. Vater Hans Vollenweider zählt zu den führenden Organisten Europas. Andreas wächst in einer künstlerisch vielseitigen und inspirierenden Umgebung auf. Als Autodidakt wird er zunächst zum Multiinstrumentalisten, auf der Suche nach „seinem" Instrument.

1975 entdeckt er die Harfe für sich, entwickelt eine eigene Spieltechnik und modifiziert das Instrument nach seinen Bedürfnissen. Ein eigenständiges Instrument entsteht; die elektro-akustische Harfe. Read more on Last.fm
