The Long Blondes waren eine fünfköpfige Band aus Sheffield, die sich 2004 gründete, rund um die glamouröse Frontfrau Kate Jackson - eine Frau wie Marlene Dietrich gekreuzt mit Rockabilly Chic. Dementsprechend zeichneten sich Musik und öffentliches Image als sog. "Glam Punk" aus.

Auf ihrer MySpace-Seite umschreibt die Band ihr Genre in eigenen Worten als New Wave / Idol-Pop / Pop, erinnert aber auch sehr an 60s-Pop, Post-Punk und ein wenig an Read more on Last.fm
