Turin Brakes ist ein modernes Folk-Pop-Duo; bestehend aus den zwei Freunden Olly Knights und Gale Paridjanian. Beide stammen aus Balham, London.
Turin Brakes werden oft dem "New Acoustic Movement" zugeschrieben, vergleichbar mit anderen Bands wie Elbow, Starsailor, I Am Kloot (welche Turin Brakes auch auf deren Tour "Ether Song" unterstützten) und Kings of Convenience.
