Doves ist eine britische Independent-Rockband aus Manchester.

Doves ist bekannt für ihren weiten, epischen Klang. Sie werden sowohl mit Radiohead als auch mit klassischen Manchester Bands wie The Stone Roses, New Order und The Smiths verglichen.

Gegründet wurde Doves von den Brüdern Jez Williams (Gitarre) und Andy Williams (Schlagzeug und Gesang) zusammen mit Jimi Goodwin (Gesang, Bass und Schlagzeug), welche sich schon im Alter von 15 Jahren in der Schule kennengelernt hatten. Read more on Last.fm
