Minutemen ist eine 1979 in San Pedro, Kalifornien, USA, gegründete Punk-Band, die sich anfänglich durch ihre verkürzten Liedstrukturen auszeichnete. Nach einer Umbesetzung der Vorgängerband "The Reactionaries" benannten sie sich nach einer Militärgruppe aus dem amerikanischen Unabhängigkeitskrieg.
