Stephen Richard „Steve“ Hackett (* 12. Februar 1950 in London) ist ein britischer Komponist und Musiker.

Besondere Bekanntheit erlangte er als Gitarrist der Progressive Rock-Gruppe Genesis, mit der er zwischen 1971 und 1977 insgesamt sechs Studioalben veröffentlichte. 1986 war er Mitbegründer der Supergroup GTR. Des Weiteren hat er zahlreiche Solo-Alben aufgenommen und geht auch regelmäßig auf Tour. Musikalisch bewegt er sich in einem sehr breiten Spektrum, das von Progressive Rock über Blues, Jazz bis zur klassischen Musik reicht. Read more on Last.fm
