IQ ist eine aus Southampton stammende britische Rockband. Neben Marillion, Pallas und Twelfth Night zählt sie zu den typischen Vertretern des Neo-Prog, der in den 1980er Jahren entstandenen zweiten Generation des Progressive Rock. IQ lehnten sich anfangs an Vorbilder wie insbesondere Genesis und Yes an, entwickelten aber schnell einen eigenen Stil.
