Rose Royce war eine US-amerikanische Soul-, Funk- und Disco-Band, die von Motown-Musikproduzent und Songwriter Norman Whitfield (am bekanntesten für seine Arbeit mit den Temptations) zusammengestellt wurde.

Die zunächst aus 8 Mitgliedern bestehende Gruppe wurde zu Beginn der 1970er Jahre in Los Angeles gegründet. Zu Beginn nannte man sich „Total Concept Unlimited“ und trat als Begleitband für Edwin Starr sowie als Studiomusiker für The Temptations und The Undisputed Truth auf. Read more on Last.fm
