Gov't Mule ist eine Rockband aus den Vereinigten Staaten, die 1994 von Gitarrist und Sänger Warren Haynes und Bassist Allen Woody (beide Mitglieder bei The Allman Brothers Band) sowie Schlagzeuger Matt Abts (früher u.a. bei The Dickey Betts Band) gegründet wurde.

Allen Woody verstarb im Jahr 2000 und wurde 2003 durch Andy Hess ersetzt, der davor bei The Black Crowes spielte. Im gleichen Jahr kam Keyboarder Danny Louis hinzu, wodurch die ursprüngliche Besetzung als Power-Trio erweitert wurde. Read more on Last.fm
