The Decemberists sind eine US-amerikanische Indie-Folkband aus Portland, Oregon, deren Name sich auf die Dezemberisten und die Stimmung bezieht, die im Dezember herrscht. Ihre erste EP 5 Songs veröffentlichten sie 2001. Das aktuelle Album The King Is Dead erschien am 14. Januar 2011.
