Sirenia ist eine Gothic-Metal-Band aus Norwegen.

Als Songschreiber Morten Veland bei Tristania ausstieg, weil seine Vorstellungen nicht mehr auf Zustimmung stießen, gründete er 2001 Sirenia.

Stil

Ihre Musik ist eine Kombination aus Gothic Metal und Rock, mit Elementen aus Klassik ,Death Metal und Black Metal.

Auffällig ist die melancholische und düstere Atmosphäre, die gezeichnet ist durch tiefe Growls in Kombination mit stimmungsvollem weiblichen Gesang. Die Texte befassen sich mit Leid, Tod und menschlichen Abgründen. Read more on Last.fm
