Bono, eigentlich Paul David Hewson, ist Sänger der irischen Rockband U2 und ein politischer Aktivist.

Leben

In der Schule wurde Hewson von seinen Freunden Bono Vox genannt (lateinisch bona vox für „gute Stimme“, nach einem Hörgeräteladen in der Dubliner Innenstadt), was er später auf Bono kürzte und bis heute sein Künstlername geblieben ist.
