Keith Jarrett (* 8. Mai 1945 in Allentown, Pennsylvania) ist ein US-amerikanischer Jazz-Pianist. Jarretts Spiel ist durch weit ausgreifende Soloimprovisationen gekennzeichnet, die in ungewöhnlich umfangreichen Live-Mitschnitten dokumentiert sind (u. a. The Köln Concert, Bremen/Lausanne, The Sun Bear Concerts).

Leben und Werk

Keith Jarrett ist der älteste von fünf Söhnen einer christlich geprägten Familie. Er hatte seit dem dritten Lebensjahr Klavierunterricht und stand als Siebenjähriger zum ersten Mal auf der Bühne. Read more on Last.fm
