The Divine Comedy ist eine nordirische Popgruppe mit dem Leadsänger Neil Hannon.

Die Band gründete sich ursprünglich im Jahr 1989 in Enniskillen. Neil Hannon nannte sie im Alter von 18 Jahren The Divine Comedy, als er und zwei Schulfreunde einen neuen Namen für ihre Band suchten.
