Snow Patrol ist eine britische Rockband aus Glasgow (Schottland) und Belfast (Nordirland), die 1994 entstand. Stilistisch ist die Gruppe nicht eindeutig einzuordnen, wird jedoch teilweise dem Alternative Rock zugerechnet.

Geschichte

Zunächst nannten sie sich Polarbear. Unter diesem Namen hatten sie ihre erste EP "Starfighter Pilot" (Electric Honey Label) veröffentlicht, bevor sie sich aus rechtlichen Gründen umbenennen mussten.

Ihren kommerziellen Durchbruch schaffte die Band erst Anfang 2004 mit ihrem dritten Album "Final Straw". Read more on Last.fm
