Eluveitie (ausgesprochen: El-veiti) ist eine Folk Metal-Band aus Winterthur, Schweiz, die in ihrer Musik keltische Folklore mit Metal-Klang (meist durch Death Metal oder Black Metal beeinflusst) kombiniert. Die Texte der Band orientieren sich an der Geschichte, dem täglichen Leben und der Spiritualität des keltischen Stammes der Helvetier und sind teilweise in einer rekonstruierten Form des helvetischen Gallisch geschrieben. So ist auch der Name der Band selbst aus dieser Sprache, er bedeutet soviel wie „Ich, der Helvetier“. Read more on Last.fm
