Smog
Bill Callahan (* 3. Juni 1966 in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA) ist ein US-amerikanischer Singer-Songwriter und Gitarrist, der auch unter dem Bandnamen Smog aufgenommen und gespielt hat. Callahan gilt mit seinen anfänglich mit einfachster Produktion auf Vier-Spur-Rekordern aufgenommenen Songs als einer der Vorreiter des Lo-Fi. Später begann er, Alben auf dem Label Drag City zu veröffentlichen, bei dem er bis heute unter Vertrag steht. Seine Arbeit umfasst neben Lo-Fi-Musik auch apokalyptischen Folk und Gothic Country.
