James Marshall Hendrix wurde am 27. November 1942 in Seattle, Washington geboren und war ein amerikanischer Gitarrist und Sänger. Jimi Hendrix gilt wegen seiner experimentellen und innovativen Spielweise auf der E-Gitarre als einer der bedeutendsten Gitarristen und hatte nachhaltigen Einfluss auf die Entwicklung der Rockmusik.
