Eine genaue Einordnung des Stils ist schwierig, da die Band viele Spielarten des Metal vermischt. Turisas spielen größtenteils epischen Viking Metal, vermischt mit finnischem Folk (Humppa) und starken Einflüssen aus dem Power Metal.
Bandgeschichte
Die Band Turisas wurde im Jahre 1997 in Hämeenlinna, Finnland von Mathias Nygård und Jussi Wickström gegründet und ist nach einem altertümlichen finnischen Kriegsgott benannt.
