Bandgeschichte

Frontmann und Sänger John Kay, der aufgrund eines Augenleidens meist eine dunkle Sonnenbrille trug, wurde als Joachim Krauledat am 12. April 1944 in Tilsit (Ostpreußen) geboren. Als er vier Jahre alt war floh seine Mutter mit ihm aus der SBZ nach Hannover. Dieses Erlebnis wurde im Song Renegade auf dem Album Steppenwolf Seven verarbeitet. Read more on Last.fm
