Gegründet wurde Leaves’ Eyes im Sommer 2003, noch bevor Frontfrau Liv Kristine aus ihrer früheren Band Theatre of Tragedy geworfen wurde. Die restlichen Bandmitglieder stammen von Atrocity (Alexander Krull (Gesang), Torsten Bauer (Gitarre), Mathias Röderer (Gitarre), Chris Lukhaup (E-Bass), Martin Schmidt (Schlagzeug)).
