Echo & The Bunnymen sind eine Liverpooler Rockband. Sie begannen 1978 im Umfeld von Postpunk, entwickelten sich zum New Wave und gelangten schließlich zu einem melancholischen Pop-Stil, getragen von Ian McCullochs expressiver, voluminöser Stimme und Will Sergeants atmosphärischem Gitarrenstil. Die Inhalte der Lieder fanden sich oft im Bereich von Fantasy und Mythologie.
