John Cale
John Cale (* 9. März 1942 in Garnant, Wales) ist ein britischer Artrock-Musiker mit klassischer Ausbildung (Bratsche, Piano). Er war Mitglied der US-Avantgarde-Band Velvet Underground, stieg aber schon 1968 aus und machte erfolgreich solo Karriere.
Cale hat an der Universität London Abteilung Goldsmiths College Musik studiert. 1963 erhielt er ein Leonard-Bernstein-Stipendium über den bekannten amerikanischen Komponisten Aaron Copland und studierte an der Berkshire School of Music Klavier und Viola. Read more on Last.fm
