The Alan Parsons Project war ein britisches Musikprojekt, das dem Progressive Rock oder Art Rock zugerechnet werden kann. Die Band wurde von Alan Parsons und Eric Woolfson gegründet und bestand von 1975 bis 1987 (1990). Alan Parsons war Tontechniker der Abbey Road Studios und wirkte dort an den letzten Alben der Beatles mit. Später arbeitete er unter anderem mit den Wings und war an den Klassikern Atom Heart Mother und The Dark Side of the Moon von Pink Floyd als Toningenieur und Produzent beteiligt.
