Lizz Wright (* 22. Januar 1980 in Hahira, Georgia) ist eine afroamerikanische Jazzsängerin.

Wright wurde als Tochter eines Predigers geboren. Bereits im Kindesalter sang sie im Kirchenchor ihres Vaters mit und hatte Klavierunterricht. Mit 14 Jahren begann sie sich für Gospel-, Jazz- und Bluesmusik zu interessieren. Nach ihrem Highschoolabschluss nahm Wright ein Gesangsstudium an der Georgia State University in Atlanta auf, welches sie in New York City und Vancouver fortsetzte. Read more on Last.fm
