P.O.D. ist eine christliche Nu-Metal-Band mit Reggae-Einflüssen aus San Diego, Kalifornien (USA).

Der Name P.O.D.

P.O.D. steht für „Payable on death“ (zahlbar im Todesfall) und bezieht sich einerseits auf die gleichlautende Klausel am Ende von US-amerikanischen Lebensversicherungen, andererseits auch auf die Kreuzigung von Jesus Christus.

Anfänge in den 90ern
