Morbid Angel ist eine bekannte Death-Metal-Band, die 1983 in Tampa, Florida, USA gegründet wurde. Ursprünglich sollte sie den Namen „Heretic“ tragen, doch aufgrund eines Namenskonfliktes mit einer bereits existierenden Power-Metal-Band entschieden sich die Gründer für „Morbid Angel“.
