Faron Young (* 25. Februar 1932 in Shreveport, Louisiana; † 10. Dezember 1996) war ein US-amerikanischer Country-Sänger.


Faron Young wuchs auf der Farm seiner Eltern im ländlichen Louisiana auf. Von seinem Football-Trainer beeinflusst fand er früh Zugang zur Country-Musik. Nachdem er erste Erfahrungen in einer High School Band gesammelt hatte, gelang ihm Anfang der fünfziger Jahre der Einstieg in die populäre Louisiana Hayride Show. Hier traf er auf den aufstrebenden Star Webb Pierce, der ihn als Sänger anheuerte. Read more on Last.fm
