Ringo Starr MBE (* 7. Juli 1940 in Liverpool als Richard Starkey oder auch Richard Henry Parkin Starkey Jr.) war Schlagzeuger und gelegentlicher Sänger bei den Beatles vom 16. August 1962 (als er Pete Best ersetzte) bis zu deren Auflösung 1970.

Starr ist bekannt für sein zuverlässiges, stetiges Schlagzeugspiel und seine innovativen Improvisationen.

Familie
