Tom „T.“ Hall (* 25. Mai 1936 in Olive Hill, Kentucky) † 20. August 2021 in Franklin, Tennessee galt als der Geschichtenerzähler - Storyteller - der Country-Musik. Er benutzte die Musik vor allem, um seine sozialen Anliegen vorzutragen. Hauptthema seiner manchmal nur von einer einzelnen Gitarre und einem leisen Schlagzeug begleiteten Lieder waren gesellschaftliche Ungerechtigkeiten und Heucheleien.
