Bad Brains ist eine Hardcore-Band aus New York.

Sie wurde 1977 in Washington D.C. als Jazzfunk-Band "Mind Power" gegründet und bestand zu Beginn aus vier afroamerikanischen Musikern, die den Punkrock für sich entdeckten. 1979 ging die Band nach Auftrittsverboten in fast ganz Washington D.C. nach New York City und nahm dort im Dezember ihre erste Single Pay To Cum auf.
Es folgten eine Reihe Veröffentlichungen, sowohl im Reggae- als auch im Hardcore/Punkrock-Bereich. Read more on Last.fm
