The Kinks sind eine britische Musikgruppe. Sie gelten neben den Beatles, The Who und den Rolling Stones als eine der erfolgreichsten britischen Bands der 1960er Jahre. Heute zählen die Kinks zu den Urvätern von Punk und Britpop. Zahlreiche Gruppen wurden und werden durch ihre Musik inspiriert.

Werdegang

Die Kinks wurden Anfang 1964 in London von den Brüdern Ray und Dave Davies gegründet, nachdem sie zuvor unter dem Namen „The Ravens“ keinen Erfolg hatten. Read more on Last.fm
