Sonny James (* 1. Mai 1928[1] als James Loden in Hackleburg, Alabama; † 22. Februar 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee) war ein US-amerikanischer Country-Sänger. Er galt als führender Repräsentant des Nashville Sounds und hatte zwischen 1953 und 1983 mehr als 70 Hits in den Pop- und Country-Charts; darunter 23 Nummer-eins-Titel. Der größte Hit des „Southern Gentleman“ war 1956 "Young Love".
