Silver Apples (USA) entstand 1967, als sich Dan Taylor und Simeon Coxe (der sich auf den LPs nur "Simeon" nennt) zu einem "elektronischen Rock-Duo" zusammenschlossen. Die Band erspielte sich eine Art Kultstatus im New Yorker Raum und veröffentlichte 1968 und 1969 2 LPs bei KAPP-Records ("Silver Apples" und "Contact"). Eine dritte LP wurde 1970 aufgenommen aber nicht veröffentlicht, da KAPP bankrott machte. Ohne Plattenvertrag löste sich die Band bald darauf auf. Read more on Last.fm
