1. Hole (engl.: Loch) ist eine Grunge-Band, die 1989 von Courtney Love, Eric Erlandson und Lisa Roberts gegründet wurde. Die Besetzung wechselte oft und die Band löste sich 2002 vorübergehend auf. 2010 kam es zu einer Wiedervereinigung mit der Veröffentlichung eines neuen Albums. Durch die Ehe der Sängerin Courtney Love mit Nirvana-Sänger Kurt Cobain erfuhr die Band eine gesonderte Aufmerksamkeit.
