David Sylvian [ˈdeɪvɪd ˈsɪlvɪən] (* 23. Februar 1958 in Beckenham, Kent; eigentlich: David Alan Batt) ist ein englischer Songwriter, Sänger, Keyboarder und Gitarrist.

Karriere

Seine Karriere begann als Songwriter und Sänger der britischen Pop-Band Japan, die in den späten 1970er- und frühen 1980er-Jahren – obwohl oft unterschätzt – einigen Erfolg bis hin zu Chartnotierungen hatte.

Nach der Auflösung von Japan 1983 hatte er einen großen internationalen Hit mit dem Titel Forbidden Colours Read more on Last.fm
