1979 tat sich Ola Hakansson, früherer Sänger von Ola & the Janglers, einer Gruppe, die in den 60er Jahren in Schweden sehr erfolgreich war, mit Ulf Wahlberg und Tim Norell zusammen, um einige Lieder für das Melodifestivalen (sehr bekannter schwedischer Song Contest) zu schreiben.
