Billy Bragg, am 20. Dezember 1957 in Barking (Essex, England) geboren als Stephen William Bragg, ist ein britischer Singer-Songwriter. Seine Themen reichen von Liebesballaden über traditionelle Arbeiterlieder bis zu Protestliedern zu aktuellen politischen Ereignissen. In seiner Musik verbindet er Elemente von Pop, Folk, Rock und Punk.

1977 gründete Bragg – inspiriert durch ein Konzert von The Clash – die Punkband Riff Raff, die sich aber 1981 nach ausbleibenden Erfolgen auflöste. Read more on Last.fm
