Ryan Cabrera war nicht direkt Teil des Rampenlichts: er musste dafür arbeiten. Der aus Dallas, Texas stammende Cabrera fing in der 8. Klasse mit dem Gitarre spielen und dem Songschreiben an. Sein erster Schritt in die Musik war eine High School Punk Band mit dem Namen 'Caine'.
