Harry Forster Chapin (* 7. Dezember 1942 in New York City, USA; † 16. Juli 1981) war ein US-amerikanischer Sänger, Songschreiber und Regisseur.

Nachdem Harry Chapin bereits in seiner Jugend in verschiedenen Bands gespielt hatte (u. a. zusammen mit seinen Brüdern Tom und Stephen), erhielt er 1972 einen Schallplatten-Vertrag von Elektra Records und veröffentlichte das Album Heads and Tails.
