Wie so viele skandinavische Black Metal-Bands startet Setherial ursprünglich nur als Zwei-Mann-Projekt. Multiinstrumentalist Håkan Sjödin aka Alastor Mysteriis und Gitarrist/Bassist Devothan gründen die Band 1993 in Sundsvall / Schweden.

Schon bald gesellen sich Shouter Tobias 'Cheeroth' Fällström und Drummer Anders 'Zathanel' Löfgren zu den beiden, und sie arbeiten die ersten Songs aus. Als mit Daniel 'Thorn' Edström ein fester Bassist dazu kommt, greift Devothan endgültig zur Gitarre. Read more on Last.fm
