Ben Folds Five (1994–) ist eine klavierdominierte Rockband mit drei Mitgliedern, gegründet in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Die Band besteht aus Ben Folds (Leadsänger, Pianist/Keyboarder, Songwriter), Robert Sledge (E-/Kontrabass) und Darren Jessee (Schlagzeug). Die Band löste sich 2000 zunächst auf, woraufhin sich Ben Folds seinem Solo-Projekt zuwand. 2012 jedoch kehrte die Band in bekannter Besetzung mit dem neuen Album "The Sound of the Life of the Mind" zurück.
