Traffic war eine Rockband um Steve Winwood, in der ursprünglichen Besetzung mit Jim Capaldi, Chris Wood und Dave Mason. Winwood gründete Traffic, nachdem er die Spencer Davis Group verlassen hatte. Ihre Debut-Single "Paper Sun" von 1967 war ein Hit in England. Die zweite Single "Hole in My Shoe" war sogar noch erfolgreicher.

Etwa zur gleichen Zeit benannte sich die zuvor wenig erfolgreiche Londoner Band The Spectres, aus denen sich später Status Quo entwickelten, ebenfalls in Traffic um. Read more on Last.fm
