John Winston Lennon (später John Winston Ono Lennon), MBE (* 9. Oktober 1940 in Liverpool, England; † 8. Dezember 1980 in New York City, New York) war ein britischer Musiker, Komponist und Autor. Weltweit berühmt wurde er als Mitgründer, Sänger und Gitarrist der britischen Musikgruppe The Beatles, für die er – neben Paul McCartney – die meisten Stücke schrieb.
