Budgie (engl. „Wellensittich“) ist eine 1968 gegründete Hard-Rock-Band aus Cardiff. Die Gruppe ist außer durch ihr gemeinsames Werk durch zwei von Metallica gecoverte Titel und die Cover-Art von Roger Dean bekannt.

Im Gründungsjahr 1968 bestand die Originalbesetzung aus Burke Shelley (John Burke Shelley, * 10. April 1947 in Cardiff) an Bass und Gesang, Tony Bourge (Anthony Bourge, *23.
